The Monkey Hop is a ninja obstacle designed to challenge grip strength, control, and explosive coordination. This obstacle includes one center-mounted slider, two wooden cradles, and two aluminum pegs. Athletes begin by placing a peg in each side of the unstable slider, which mounts to a horizontal pipe. Using the pegs, they must shimmy the slider down the pipe, but the real challenge comes at the end.

To complete the obstacle, ninjas must make a dynamic transition by hopping both pegs simultaneously into the two cradles. The slider's instability makes single-sided moves nearly impossible, demanding a precise, double-sided hop to stick the landing.
