Swivel Limit

The Swivel Limit by BarnBuilt is a dynamic vertical limit obstacle designed to combine precision finger strength with controlled rotational movement, creating a highly technical challenge that evolves based on setup and configuration.

Available in both left- and right-handed orientations, the Swivel Limit features a 50" vertical limit mounted along a single side of the frame. The handedness is determined by the position of the integrated notch that rests on the support pipe. If the notch is on the left side while scaling the vertical limit, the obstacle is configured as a left-handed version; if it is on the right, it is a right-handed version.

In its standard setup, the Swivel Limit is pre-positioned to rest on a cross pipe or J pipe using the notch as a stable support point. Athletes scale the vertical limit toward this notch, then initiate a controlled push and rotation to transition the obstacle toward the next connection point in the rig.

For full rotational capability, the Swivel Limit is best paired with the Rotation Mount (sold separately), allowing the obstacle to spin a full 360 degrees within the rig. This enables smoother transitions between connection points and opens up more fluid course design options. Without the Rotation Mount, the obstacle rotates in a 180-degree motion, creating a more forceful, whip-like transition reminiscent of a Tail Whip-style movement.

The Swivel Limit blends static climbing precision with dynamic reorientation, rewarding athletes who can combine strength, timing, and controlled rotation under pressure.

For better stability on cross pipes, we recommend installing two Locking Collars on either side of the Embedded Polymer Bearing. Pillow Block Bearings are intended for indoor-use only.
