Team DGS Vortex Kicks Off the TNA League with a Strong Debut

The inaugural season of the Team Ninja Association (TNA) League is officially underway. Team DGS Vortex stepped up to the start line as the first team to take on the course on Sunday, February 23 at Ascend Obstacle Fitness, in the league's first-ever qualifier. Represented by Addy Herman (#13, team captain), Noah Meunier (#0), and Kevin Rodriguez (#26), the team delivered a performance that set the tone for the entire competition.

The Vortex opened with a dominant first round. Kevin secured the win on speed, showcasing his unreal precision and explosiveness with seeming ease. Noah claimed victory on tech, becoming the only competitor to complete one of the toughest obstacles with just one retry. Addy delivered a powerful and confident grit run, showing huge strides of improvement from previous trial competitions and only failing a technical move toward the end of the course. Running first, the team established an early benchmark and held onto the top spot by a considerable margin for the entire round.

Round 2, however, tested the team’s resilience. Kevin was on pace for an even faster time but took an unfortunate fall on speed due to a slight dismounting error. Noah battled through tech, failing the second-to-last obstacle 11 grueling times before finally clearing it on the 12th. Unfortunately, by the time he tagged Addy in for grit, the clock had expired, bringing Team Vortex’s run to an end.

Despite the setback, the team’s performance in Round 1 proved that Vortex has the skill to contend at the highest level of this league. As the next qualifier at Gravity Forge approaches, the focus is on refining execution and communication. Team DGS Vortex is determined and excited to make a powerful comeback this TNA season. Tune into Team Ninja Association competitions Sundays at 6pm EST. Catch The Vortex on April 6 for their next qualifier at Gravity Forge!
